Let us be more focussed for transforming actions, speeches, deeds so that there are impacts on reduction in the emission of green house gases. We can help people suggesting prayer and meditation 5 times a day. This way, we can help men and women find relaxation through avoidng energy intensive travels. These measures are carbon neutral. We need to eliminate usurious transactions for this we need men and women opposing usury. We need energy feilds directed for that. Let us get specific rather than talking about books. Bruce ,David and all may be suggesting things. But we have measures that are very much carbon neutral. Let us protect ecologically sustainable livelihoods by liberating more and more of us from ecologically hostile consumption. Internet , too after some time becomes ecologically hostile.
Please speak in terms of programmes for people of various religions as they are lived realities.

Dear Dr. Alam, while you prefer "faith-based" theories which have no substance to them, many times propogating errors in translation of "the word," I prefer the validity that scientific research provides. All of the knowledge there ever was or will be is "encoded" into our own biological/physiciological makeup, and scientists around the world are now contributing to the knowledge base wherein lies the message. The message, of course, being: "What is Life" or "What is Consciousness".
And, what was formerly "hidden" is now being revealed as new instrumentation allows us to accurately measure and describe the universe around us.

Ultimately, “To live in accordance with the essence of things, as Socrates said, is the premise of the moral life. One cannot live in peace of mind without at the same time being in harmony with reality.” Also, “The premises of a moral life is based on a covenant with reality.” “No life is authentic that is in conflict with the order of the universe.” And not knowing the order of the universe constitutes a serious handicap in lving a moral life!
So, IMHO, it high time for us to become "crystal clear" on what the "order of the universe" is. And, while faith-based belief systems served their purpose for a time, (as all things do, I suppose) it is time for us to regain the knowledge that was suppressed by the dominator paradigm established by religious orders, and regain the knowledge that can "set us free," so we may move forward into the future in health and wellness. The human family is now "coming of age" and it time for us to grow up and take responsibility for ourselves.
What you are asking me to do, Dr. Alam, is to regress my mind and that, in good consciousness, I cannot do. Sustainability is not something "separate" you know, it is part of the whole and it is time to "itegrate" it into the rest of our knowledge base. It is a particle in the web of life that we have too long ignored. And, it is the "faith-based" that must awaken to the reality of science so that we are all united again in one belief system. We need to stop these stupid wars and fighting over "my interpretation of God is better than your interpretation." It's time to put our egos to bed and get real, or as Ken Wilber expresses it: "integral naked". .

Hi Nance, and welcome to the Co-Learner's list. It is a little difficult to break into a new list when one doesn't know exactly what the agenda is. But our group is "all over the place" so whatever you post will probably fit in until we get more acquainted.
It is really interesting that you are familiar with David Icke and his writing. We have from time to time touched on Icke's name and had a brief reference to his website here on the list. However, I have avoided any in depth exploration of who he is and what he is about until there was more of a context into which to plug his knowledge of "who we are" as the human family. I've felt we need to approach this carefully so as not to be considered "kooks". And, now having introduced Sitchin's work, coupled with information that Stephanie Sutton has been slipping into the dialogue regarding the possibility of extra-terrestial life inhabiting the planet at this time, sets the stage for someone like you, who is so familiar with Icke's work, to inject more from his viewpoint and yours into the circle so that we may all learn more.
What we are tryng to do here is to scientifically base our findings on facts that are verifiable, so that we are able to separate fact from myth. When I speak of science, I am speaking mainly of "the new science" which deals with "subtle energy fields" and other aspects of our own "personal biology," e.g., neurocardiology and other related (energy) fields that can now be measured through advanced instrumentation. However, as we dwelve deeper into this, much of what we are learning also has a basis in what we may refer to as the "esoteric." Of great importance in considering "the new science" is information related to healing the human body using the power of our own mind to do so.
So, whenever you feel you have knowledge that may help us to understand more about human consciousness, as we take this walk into it, please feel free to share. I also feel fortunate to have another "informed" woman on this list which has for so long been predominantly male.
