Hi Mary Rose,

Some of your readers will already be familiar with the work being done through Perelandra Nature Research Center -- but the latest news regarding biosolids and what is being done with waste products is alarming -- and needs to be included in discussions about creating different solutions for our human, medical and industrial (and let's not forget military!!) waste.

I knew things were going on but really had no idea how bad it was until I read these reports.  Please pass them along if you see fit.  Machaelle's reports may no longer be free but they are worth reading.  I just finished mine and will be ordering many copies to send to my state and local legislators and "congress-critters" (as Jim Hightower calls them.)  

This is something that must be done at the grass-roots level -- and needs to be addressed from a deep ecology approach.  The technology already exists to handle the problem easily; what's missing is the will (and an informed and passionate public -- which may be extremely related.)

  Hi Nancy, So nice to hear from you.  

  Regarding this issue, from where I sit I view it as another incident of socio-pathic behavior where neither the victims nor the perpetrators are capable of connecting the dots and seeing the results of their behavior. What I feel we need to realize is that this type of behavior is endemic throughout the United States and the rest of the world for that matter. We see it in the handling of hurricane Katrina in New Orleans, we see it in the poisoning of our own food chain, in the continued death-defining issues related to the wars in Afghanistan and Iraq, in the destruction of the planet itself as we deplete topsoil and literally dig the foundation out from under our life support system.  We are a society fast moving on a path toward mass suicide.   .  .       

  And, as I have pointed out previouslyit is largely a result of our public educational system which directs false information, that is, teaches to the left brain and suppresses the feminine qualities inherent at the beginning of our social evolution while emphasizing the more masculine qualities that have emerged along with the 
  dominator paradigm.   

  And how to address this situation is extremely difficult because 75% of the population of the United States is
  defined as predominately left-brain linear oriented.  And while many attribute our social problems to the influence of the monetary system, one has to realize that this system too is a product of predominantly left-brain linear thinking.  

  And our present way of handling these "aberrations" also emerges out of this left-brain linear orientation.  Punishment through incarceration or the levying of monetary fines only adds to the problem.  What is needed is rehabilitation through education.  But it does no good to send people back into the same type of educational system that produced the problem in the first place.   

  So, how to deal with this is the question of the day.  And, the only thing I see that is strong enough to
  change our orientation on a mass scale, are the concurrent crises of global climate change coupled with the end of cheap oil, and the consequent economic crash, which is going to force a change in behavior as we either adapt and change or die. We must evolve to a higher level of consciousness and be more responsible for our behavvior or we will continue to devolve into never-ending chaos from which there is no
  return. 

  And, I simply do not see politics, as practiced today anyway, as having the ability to solve anything. With the divisive "divide and conquer" policy of politics in force, the problems ae accentuated rather than being 
  resolved. 

  I do believe if you are sincerely interested in resolving the "sludge problem" itself, that you should contact Vern Woolf and investigate the Waste Remediation Park concept as the plasmic field generator has the capability to safely remediate both sludge and highly toxic land areas.   What I recognize is that this will take someone with the time and ability to pull together a group of citizens committed to solving this particular problem. But we need long term solutions that clear this type of behavior from our society. It is obvious that religion cannot do the job.
