Robert Searle".)
Dear Mary,
Thanks for all the effort and time to write this response.
I found it mysteriously fascinating. It was like drinking a
refreshing elixir.
Let this list know when you publish your "The Sacred Search for the
Who of I Am." I'd love to read it.
I agree that humankind worldwide is undergoing immense, significant
change right now. A lot of it is economic. But you're right that
real justice-based change can't happen without people losing
themselves into Tao-power that surrounds all.
I can't think of a more barren or dark existence than the meaning of
Life supposedly being based purely on human reason or rationality, as
some so-called humanists posit. Life to me is this magical feeling,
spirit, that we can feel surrounding us. Like a powerful force
field. It is perhaps best manifested in what we call Love. Some say
ultimate reality is an embrace, which I totally agree with.
Perhaps we are on the threshold of the feminine rejoining the
masculine, so long absent from the doorstep of our human psyche. It
might heal the ego-split in Self that we have experienced for a long
time. Antoine de Saint-Exupery's insight is so true: "It is only
with the heart that one can see rightly; what is essential is
invisible to the eye."

Steve Nieman
Dear Steve,
Thank you for taking the time to comment on and respond to my post.
It was very heart-warming to read your words: regarding the "feminine
rejoining the masculine".
Of grave concern to me has been the lack of the feminine perspective from
both the FixGov and the Global Justice Movement list. And I am thankful
for the number of women who participate in my bcc: list and thus contribute
to the Co-Learner's list, so that in posting I am able to forward their
input
for consideration.
While certainly the monetary system is a very powerful force which drives
the
rest of our social systems, it is only one part of the whole dynamic. But,
as
defined by Dr. Jay Earley in Transforming Human Culture, it is the
suppression
of the feminine through which we gained our "human soul," embedded in the
things mentioned previously (community, natural living, vitality,
belongingness,
and equality) that has allowed the monetary system to so powerfully prevail
in
setting the standards of a society. And, if we are to regain balance, then
does
it not make sense to focus on the restoration of these values as our first
priority
so that the scales are balanced?
And, then, should the first step in this direction be to continue to focus
on the
design of the perfect monetary system, or should the first consideration be
given
to rebalancing our own minds and opening them to where the problem
essentially
resides, and then transforming that aspect first. It does seem that the
order in
which one attempts to harness the horse and cart can be problematic.
And, in this respect, Robert Searle's "multi-dimensional" approach certainly
has merit, but he too seems fixated on transforming the monetary system
prior
to addressing the basic masculine-feminine aspect which has so long been
rooted
in the Adam and Eve mythology and imprinted in our mind via religious orders
which maintain their systems in the form of secret societies. . .
Thank you again, Stephen for sharing your thoughts and sensitivity for this
issue.
with love and in gratitude for all that you do and for all that we may do
together.
