Hey Janos!

By the way, my thanks again for your £100 cheque all those years ago
-- it really helped us keep the wtf/ud wiki going.

As for the message, I guess I should avoid sending mails to the list
from the blackberry again.

Thanks!

Now, to briefly answer your question again Robert, I am very much in
favour of monetary reform.

As the internet opens up certain aspects of our lives to an economy of
abundance instead of scarcity and as more and more people become
conscious of the ecological impact of our actions, I believe there is
a great window of opportunity to rapidly bring about such reform.

Like many people I have my own set of perspectives on what
specifically needs to be done. Whilst it's probably not fully
explanatory on its own, http://tav.espians.com/espra/toman_ecology.png
might give a general overview.

It is currently a mix of: gift economy + eco-economy + reputation
economy + prediction economy + multi-party bartering backed by a
global reference currency + confluence of the social body. All of this
effectively nurtures the three commons: cultural, natural and
temporal. And the yield from the natural commons serves as a
pseudo-citizen's income, &c.

However, unlike most people, I am very open to differing perspectives =)

Hope the above makes some sense and answers your question at least
semi-satisfactorily.
