[GJM] A Grant of Legal Tender Money to help Create "Non-Legal Tender" LETS Money...........................!

Dear All,

       I recall last year that Mary Fee, our excellent
monetary reformer was trying to find "real" legal
tender money to help forward her LETS programme. I had
to confess this was very amusing..Why? The answer is
simple. 

It seems somehow ironic that in order to try, and help
bring about the creation of new made-up LETS money it
was necessary in the first instance to find legal
tender funds to get started (ie.a grant, or gifting of
earned non-repayable money)......................

With Transfinancial Economics ofcourse grants to bring
about sustainable living could be possible too using
legal tender transmission of funds (carefully
monitored to prevent abuse, and fraud ). This could
also involve the development of small-scale
eco-villages which were self-sufficient, and ofcourse,
they could have their own LETS systems. When they
became self-supporting then interest free grants could
be utilized if desired. 

Essentialy, I agree with New Economics in many
respects. But alot of it is also common sense if some
global crisis were about to beset us. We would soon
know by instinct rather than instruction as to what to
do...a "green" book, or a course is not always
required....

       ...As the old saying goes " Necessity is the
Mother of All Inventions...."
