To everyone, but, in particular to Norm Kurland.
It occurred to me, Norm, that you and other members of
"The Third Way" might want to investigate Riane Eisler's
"The Partnership Way" website as an aid to establishing an
organization which may be more just and acceptable to
women.
http://www.partnershipway.org/
Dr. Eisler is the author of the highly acclaimed book:"The
Chalice and The Blade," based on the work of archaeologist
Marija Gambuta's research of approximately 30,000
sites in the Fertile Cresent Region and on the Island of Crete,
as she explored the much suppressed female religion which
existed in the Neolithic Age "when God was a woman" in the
form of "The Great Mother.". The surprising thing about this
is that the findings reveal a very sophisticated society on the
Island of Crete. And, this fact makes one wonder: "what
happened"?
Ashley Montagu, wrote about this book: "The most important
book since Darwin"s "Origin of the Species".
In their book, "The Universe Story," researcher Brian Swimme
and Fr. Thomas Berry, suggest that in creating new and
sustainable communities, we might well look to these
archaeological finds for models.
After, writing "The Chalice and the Blade," Dr. Eisler intended
to write a book entitled "The Partnership Way" but instead it
became a book called "Sacred Pleasure." which brings the
role of sex in relationships out from the dark ages into
the light of scientific examination.
I have not as yet read Dr. Eisler's new book: "Wealth of Nations,"
but have found both The Chalice and the Blade and Sacred Pleasure
to be extremely informative as to the role of women in past history,
and their role in shaping the world today. You simply cannot
suppress the feminine mind and have a balanced and sane society..
And, I truly feel, that would more women have read these books
and understood their true place in past history, and in life today, we
would not be in the mess that we find ourselves in today.
So, I urge you to get acquanited with Dr. Eisler's viewpoints, and
as well, with those of Dr. Bruce Lipton as he looks at how to create
a peaceful and sustainable world from a viewpoint that cannot be
disputed due to its unprecedented success -- that is, in the form
of the human cell, which unites with some 50- 70 trillion other cells
to form and live peacefully in the human body. In his lectures, Dr,
Lipton reveals that each cell is really a miniature human.
Dr. Alam, you might benefit from reading these books as well, but
the choice is yours. I really recommend them to everyone who is
attempting to understand the world in which we live in today and
how to bring about peace in it. This is about far, far more than
the monetary system.
We must understand the "whole dynamic" of the total social
system and how the parts fit together, for there is no real
beginning or ending here -- everything is part of the whole.
Therefore, all of the parts must mesh together and fit perfectly
so as to create a "coherent whole," or the system will fall
apart before its time.
with much love, caring and gratitude for all that we all do together.
