dear mary rose,

some of the things u write are over my head...however, this particular piece resonates and i see the truth and wisdom of it...it makes sense and also gives me hope. luckily, i have, in my unknown wisdom, always known this, and have been frugal all of my life, not into consumerism, do not incur debt, live on what i have, do not charge with a credit card, do not buy things that are out of proportion in price, like when lettuce is extremely high, i do not buy it, when fruit is extremely high, i do not buy it, and i will keep my car until it dies. i will never buy a new dress again, and i can see that actually, i will never need to buy another piece of clothing again...i have enough to last my lifetime. and i paid very little with what i DO have. and now i can see how important it is to REALLY begin to raise more of my own food...to eat more healthy, and be eat as healthily as i can.

and yes, i do see where many people (the compulsive buyers) will be having a problem coping as these big changes accelerate in leaps and bounds. i can see where fear will creep in. they have not prepared themselves. they have never been aware and have spent needlessly, bought stuff that is so unnecessary.

anyway, just acknowledging u for what u have said here.

hugs,
diana

Dear Diana, Withdrawing from the materialistic consumer world of today is a
step we must make if we are to get in touch with, and then become the spiritual
beings we truly are. And you are to be congratulated for the standards that
you set for yourself. May others follow your example.

Putting this into another context, as the human family, we are moving one by one,
as appropriate for our present stage of development, into an unknown future.

Recall that there are Six Stages of Development that all of life progresses through
as we move through our evolution and into the next phase. Each phase must be
completed prior to our moving into the next one. Some individuals will move more
quickly than others, and one's stage of development also depends upon birth date
as we were born into different times and eras. .

Here I am referring to Dr. Vern Woolf's Six Stages of Development Chart as found in
his book: "Holodynamics - How to Develop and Manage Your Personal Power" - 1990."
However, Beck and Cowan's "Spiral Dynamics" offers another version which may be
found at: http://www.spiraldynamics.org/aboutsd_overview.htm

Beck and Cowan's version is based on the work of Dr. Clare Graves, and an overview of
Grave's work is provided on the above-referenced site.

Ken Wilber, considered to be one of the world's great philosophers
and recognized in his own time, has also worked extensively with Beck
and Cowan and has arrived at what he calls "the Seventh Dimension" from
which he and some of his colleagues are presently working. .
While most of us are still attempting to make it from the third dimension to
the fourth, and some of us still struggling with going from the second to
third dimension, some of the world's greatest minds, like Wilber, Flanagan,
Woolf, and Lipton, are now taking us into a much expanded "multi-dimensional"
view of realtiy, that, while fraught with dangers just as was the world once filled
with dinosaurs, tigers, and lions, when humankind had no other protective device
than a spear, was as frightening then as today; but, also offers a view of such
magnificence so as to be almost undescribable.

But this is also a much more complex world which may be described as multi-
dimensional or holographic/holodynamic in nature. Meaning that we must move
out of flatland and go with the flow into this new and expanded world as that is
where the growth pattern of the human brain is taking us. We are destined by our
inherent need to "fulfill our potential," not to take the next step into the future.
And, while some of us may go kicking and screaming, due to either feelings of fear
and dread of getting out of our comfort zone and becoming more, others of us, perhaps
more experienced in exploring the unknown, with adrenalin pulsating, will dive in and
swim like dolphins as they brave the challenges of this new world. But, regardless of
what the circumstances, make no mistake, we will all go into this unknown future together,
shoved by the environment as it changes around us in the form of global climate change.
And, yet as we go, we must look outside of ourselves and recognize that it is we who have
created this environment that is pushing us out of this nest that was once familiar and comforting,
but has now become strange and decidedly forboding.

Again, more on this later.

with love and in gratitude Diana for all that you do and all that we do together.

IMHO, people will find a way to handle higher prices. And,
what higher prices are going to do is to bring an end to out
of control consumption of goods and services provided by the
corporate world, and bring us back to "self-reliance" and in
alignment with the Implicate Order of the Earth and the Greater
  Universe.

What this means is retuning to the natural world and reconnecting
with the basic biological qualities that were inherent at the beginning of
our social evolution. Connecting back with the environment which is
  our life support system.

Our sub-conscious mind is leading us in this direction as a collective
consciousness. The Universe, of which we are a part, is always moving
toward health and wholeness. In so-doing it takes each of us with it.

The Earth, as a living organism is guiding us in hands-on experiential
learning. When we go too far astray, the Earth Mother, like
a mare with her colt, nudges us back into alignment with the Implicate
Order. We are learning and growing. This is the way it has always been
and the way it will always be. And, frequently growing is a painfu experlence,
particularly for those who are still attached to their body through the ego.

It is important to remember that we are spiritual beings having an earthly
experience. It is important for us to grasp that we are more, much more than
this one experience. We are fields of bio-electromagnetic energy, and we
must remember that energy never dies, it only changes form, so we have
  eternal life. .

with love and gratitude for all that we do together.
