May I ask your permission to use these words. They express, quite concisely, what I have been trying to say to our members at The Game Of Life,

mary rose:  David, thank you for asking. You may forward and/or use anything I write unless it is marked copyright, or with a "please do not forward" note attached. Almost everything I write 
here will be incorporated into my book: "The Sacred Quest for the Who of I Am" which is copyright; however, in the book it will be incorporated in a manner that flows, whereas here it gets presented in particles which when unconnected by the reader don't always make sense dependent upon how well informed the reader is. 

I hope you will attribute anything taken from the list that I have written to me; however, what I feel is most important is that we get this knowledge of the "new science" distributed as widely as possible since it is the underlying feature of a "mind revolution" which takes us to another level of consciousness much greater than that which accompanied those of Galileo, Copernicus, Des Cartes, and Newton.  Following the trajectory of NASA into outer space, coupled with instrumentation that now allows us to view the interior in minute detail, we are now able to see both the Universe and the Inverse from an extensivley expanded point of view.  We are undergoing a tremendous "change in perspective" which greatly enlarges the scope of our vision -- and as a consequence we are now able to get "up close and personal" with the Universe and ourselves and see things in finer detail than at any time in previous history.  

>From this perspective we are now learning about things which were not visible to civilizations not having access to the instrumentation developed today that allows us this closer look. So, just as getting up close and personal with a new friend allows you to discover things about that person you could not have known when they were someone across the room you had never met, we are now able to dwelve deeper into the mystery of the Universe and of life itself in minute detail, and we are discovering new facets that were not visible to us previously.  

Which brings us to the crossroads where science and religion intersect, and while science brings us new and valid information every day, the world's religions, except perhaps for Buddhism, are still operating on ancient belief systems that have no relevancy to the present time and the world as we now know it. Recall that almost all of the "new" information was discovered in the past 25 years, and that information is now doubling every 2.5 years. So, we are on information overload and as well hamstrung by our inability to move beyond past religious beliefs to which we have become enculturated or addicted.  More on this later. 

My exception for Buddhism here is based on reseach revealing that the basis for Buddhism appears to reside in quantum physics.  For a more detailed look at this may I suggest reading: "The Universe In An Atom" by The Dalai Lama.  The Dalai Lama, himself, is also very much involved in scientific research, actively participating in The Mind Life research Institute, and saying that whenever science and Buddhism disagree that science will prevail.  And, this very much differs from the Judaism, Christian and Islamic literalism/fundamentalism approach. 

And, as Einstein wrote: We cannot solve the problems of today with the same type of thinking that created them.  The environment around us changes every day and we need to be able to adapt to this change by changing our perspective of the world.

  IMHO, people will find a way to handle higher prices.  And,
  what higher prices are going to do is to bring an end to out
  of control consumption of goods and services provided by the
  corporate world, and bring us back to "self-reliance" and in 
  alignment with the Implicate Order of the Earth and the Greater
  Universe. 

  What this means is retuning to the natural world and reconnecting
  with the basic biological qualities that were inherent at the beginning of
  our social evolution.  Connecting back with the environment which is 
  our life support system.  

  Our sub-conscious mind is leading us in this direction as a collective 
  consciousness.  The Universe, of which we are a part, is always moving
  toward health and wholeness.  In so-doing it takes each of us with it. 

  The Earth, as a living organism is guiding us in hands-on experiential
  learning.  When we go too far astray, the Earth Mother, like
  a mare with her colt, nudges us back into alignment with the Implicate
  Order. We are learning and growing. This is the way it has always been
  and the way it will always be.  And, frequently growing is a painfu experlence,
  particularly for those who are still attached to their body through the ego. 

  It is important to remember that we are spiritual beings having an earthly
  experience. It is important for us to grasp that we are more, much more than
  this one experience.  We are fields of bio-electromagnetic energy, and we 
  must remember that energy never dies, it only changes form, so we have
  eternal life. .
