Hi Diana, Thank you for forwarding this notice from the San Diego Grapevine on
another "must view" video.
We are particularly vulnerable here in So. California in places where we rely on water supply
from the Colorado River. As global warming reduces snow melt which flows into the river,
less and less water will be flowing into what is already a water source that is running dry
do to overuse by so many people drawing down on the supply. Letting the supply be
controlled by private interests in it only for the monetary gain is a dangerous situation.
And there are many other places where the situation is just as vulnerable as it is here.
with love and gratitude

Director:
Irena Salina
Release Date: September 12, 2008 in New York. Late September nationwide.
Running time: 84 min
World Premiere: Sundance Film Festival 2008
Irena Salinaʼs award-winning documentary investigation into what experts label the most important political and environmental issue of the 21st Century - The World Water Crisis. Salina builds a case against the growing privatization of the worldʼs dwindling fresh water supply with an unflinching focus on politics, pollution, human rights, and the emergence of a domineering world water cartel.
Interviews with scientists and activists intelligently reveal the rapidly building crisis, at both the global and human scale, and the film introduces many of the governmental and corporate culprits behind the water grab, while begging the question ʻCAN ANYONE REALLY OWN WATER?ʼ Beyond identifying the problem, FLOW also gives viewers a look at the people and institutions providing practical solutions to the water crisis and those developing new technologies, which are fast becoming blueprints for a successful global and economic turnaround.
The FLOW trailer is now on YouTube. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LGd9D4J0lag
Please get this out to everyone and please encourage forwarding, blog-posting, etc.
The documentary will be coming to San Diego in September, more information coming soon!
