 Dear All,
I have just seen the "new" updated website by Thomas Greco. It is an
improvement on the old one. I found his slidehows of special interest too.

Links to his site can be found at the bottom of this message from Thomas
Greco. He is into CC, or Community Currencies ofcourse.

Dear Robert, Great timing on this post as it so very much fits into the
overall picture of how to create sustainable living communities, following
on the heels of the post from Bill Ellis yesterday on that subject. This
brings in more of the "big picture" for contemplation. If, in the end, we
end up with a national or international currency, it is my belief that we
must also have a local currency which supports both local communities and
the ecosystems and bioregions which underlie them. Once out from under the
consumer-based, stock-market manipulated capitalism of today, we can never
again let ourselves be placed in the position of having no power due to its
being placed into the hands of only a few. Money is a powerful tool and in
order to assure that it does its job correctly then this power must be
distributed as widely as possible. I feel money can be compared to the life
blood in our human system. When it is flowing evenly and surely then health
of the system is good. When it coagulates and produces stoppages, then the
system suffers from lack of oxygenation and death is not far away. .

And congratulations, Tom on turning out another book. I will very much look
forward to reading it.

I urge everyone on the Co-learner's list to check out Tom's website and
consider all of the info there.

with love and in gratitude to both Robert and Tom for all that they do and
all that we do together.

mary rose

Well, the baby has been born and it looks pretty healthy to
me. It weighed in at 320 pages and about 85,000 words. I sent
it off to my publisher late yesterday afternoon. Whether it will thrive \
in the hands of the editor remains to be seen.

It's been an intense four-month grind and I'm glad >> to have a
breather while others have a look at it. I'm aware that post-partum
depression is a possibility, and I'm quite uncertain about what to do
next, but I'm confident that the universe will present me with some
interesting opportunities. Sergio and Gaye Lub have been very gracious
in providing me with a studio apartment, an ideal place in which to live
and work for which I am eternally grateful.

The book will, of course, require further attention from me before it goes
to print, but I think I can manage the next stages easily from wherever I
can find a comfortable workspace and high speed internet connection. Asia
looks appealing, and some projects appear to be developing there.

Although I've kept my focus mainly on the book project, I've added quite a
number of posts to my blogs, which I encourage you to examine.

I'm keeping this message brief. Mother needs to rest
now.

cheers,
Tom
