nef (the new economics foundation) has a track record of taking important ideas, and driving them to the top of the political and public agenda.  Combining research, advocacy, policy development and social innovation, nef occupies a unique space as an independent “think-and-do tank”. We aim to improve quality of life by promoting innovative solutions that challenge mainstream thinking on economic, environmental and social issues. We believe in economics as if people and the planet mattered. 

We are seeking an exceptional person with a demonstrable track record of clear leadership to chair our board of Trustees. Driven by the core values underlying all of nef’s work, you must share our energetic and fresh perspective and be motivated by the desire to create change. Experience of operating at this level in the charitable sector is essential.  

If you share our vision of delivering real economic well-being, believe in challenging the status quo and want to re-invent the field of economics – then you could be the person we need.
