[GJM] Nuclear Power, Energy Justice and Powering Down as a common sense move.

Hi Everyone -

There has been a concentrated movement toward
using nuclear power. This has been a major concern
of list member Dr. Kent P. Mesplay, who is now in
second place for the nomination by the Green Party
for the Presidency. Recently back
from a science conference in Pennsylvania, Dr. Mesplay
provided me with this page on nuclear power :

http://www.energyjustice.net/nuclear/

from the Energy Justice website.

The move to nuclear power would be just as deadly a
mistake as the move to ethanol has been. Rather than
make these death-defining moves the common sense
answer is to "power down" and find other sources of clean
energy -- a life-enhancing choice.

The Global Alliance Foundation's waste remediation park
concept is an excellent "interim" choice for providing clean
safe energy while effectively recycling the mountains of waste
accumulated in dumps.

I say "interim" because we cannot keep on accumulating waste
and sooner or later these parks will not be needed. And, the more
I learn about Zero Point Energy (sometimes referred to as "free
energy" because it is everywhere) the more I feel that when we
are ready for it it will be available for us. .

BTW, there is a book by Richard Heinberg using the
words "POWERDOWN" as the title. Maybe it would be
a good idea for everyone to read this book, or at least
find a good synopsis of it.

with love and in gatitude for all that we do together.
