The goal should not be "sustainable growth" ; it should be  
sustainable consumption. It doesn't matter how much you "grow" if all  
you are doing is working overtime to fill the landfills faster (hyper- 
consumption.) As such, the problem we have now is "over-sustained  
waste."  The quote below suggests that generating more waste will  
solve the co-problem of peace.  Just as war wastes lives, "growth"  
wastes resources. We already have too much, and we are not using it  
wisely.
