Dear All,

        I have been visiting the Shell Foundation..

One of its projects (Breathing Space)is concerned with
 indoor pollution due to cooking,( and other such 
activities}. Apparently, our world population of 6.8
billion consists of over 3 billion who use wood, dung,
and other biomass material. This indoor pollution can
lead to the deaths of 1.6 million people a year!!!
Shell claims that it has developed an improved cook
stove which does not allow this to happen! It has been
selling them on a commercial basis in India notably
with some success....!!

It is interesting to note that ofcourse the National
Geographic is interested to a certain extent with
sustainability and the like...
