Dear Friends,
Thanks to your interest and input to the Co-Learner's list,
I am in complete overwhelm and unable to handle the
number of messages and comments sent through me for
posting to the list at this time. I guess you could say "we
are a success".
It has always been of concern to me that I was sitting here
as the facilitator and choosing what to post and comment on,
out of the many messages received each day, and yet keep
the number of posts to a manageable number of no more
than 3-4 a day, thus having to ignore some. .
But over the years we've been together, your trust in me has,
as a sort of "editor", grown along with the number of people
on the list. And, having been together, many of us for almost
five years now, group trust has grown as well and it seems to
me we have become sort of a "think tank" for exploring new
and innovative ideas and tackling delicate issues. .
Now, as the crisis deepens, more and more of you are
choosing to participate, both in sending articles for
consideration and in commenting on other's posts. So,
while I feel we really have something good going here,
there is an imperative to redesign the Co-learner's list
so that it is more expansive in some ways while protecting
the privacy of those who want to "lurk" and gather info
without active participation.
While making this a Yahoo list has been suggested, due
to the policies of Yahoo, I am reluctant to do this considering
the provacative type of subjects discussed at times. .
Any suggestions as to how we might do this?
The name that comes to mind as someone who may be
likely to have a solution due to his background, (as far as
I know) is Dr. Curtiss Priest. What say you Curtiss?
Warm regards and thanks to everyone for your patience and
consideration. And do send along ideas.
marguerite .
