No point in talking with Pakistan: BJP leaders
Press Trust of India
Panipat, February 20, 2007
Opposition BJP on Tuesday lashed out at the UPA
government for going "soft" on terrorism and said
there was no point in continuing talks with Pakistan
in the wake of Samjhauta Express blasts.
"There is no use of talks in the present condition,"
BJP Vice President Mukthar Abbas Naqvi told reporters
in Panipat after visiting the blast site along with
other senior party leaders VK Malhotra and Sahib Singh
Verma.
"There is no use of talks in the present condition....
You cannot take peace process forward by sitting in
the factory of terrorism," he said, adding "peace and
terrorism cannot go together."
Malhotra criticised the government for abolishing POTA
and said the government had a soft approach on
terrorism.
