[GJM] #4 On The Inner Structure Of TOP (The Optimum Policy)

Good day again to old friends on nine mail lists,

A few weeks ago Bill Ellis introduced me to John
Watkins' Simple Society Forum where I became
acquainted with a whole stable of John Perkins'
Economic Hit Men whom I had not met before on
my favorite lists. They all parade as expert problem
solvers, consultants, but refuse to acknowledge
any solutions they did not invent. There must be
millions of them out there, and yet The Wrong Policy
(TWP) has been the prevailing paradigm for thirty
centuries. So solutions proliferate but the single
systemic defect of omission in our Judeo, Catholic,
Muslim, Protestant tradition of the last thirty
centuries bids fair to remain hidden from the public
for another century. Meanwhile the 3919 year
practice of TOP by Kings, Bishops, Priests, CEOs,
and WHIPs on their private affairs and corporations
continues as ever to their very great advantage.

 I am sure John and Bill had my best interest in
mind when they commented on #3 as follows in
the two forwarded messages below. Where
appropriate I have inserted MHO in the format:
[WSB  MHO  WSB}.

After you read the two messages I'll fill in a few
more facts about TOP, facts that were not covered
in #3 on this subject, to bring us closer to the whole
truth about "The Laws of Nature and of Nature's God."

Dear Wes, I sort of hate to do this to you but have to tell you that, for
now, I'd appreciate being removed from your list for these messages. I
have too much else to do and trying to fathom your illustrations is just
too frustrating. In short, I still don't understand, even with your
improved explanations. They're still too opaque for me.

[WSB John has been removed, as will all who
ask to be removed from my copy list. Each one
must find his/her own path through TWP. WSB]

Much of what Burt writes describes the current
economic system well. It is well recognized by
all of the members of this list and of many other
networks of social critics. I would suggest his
TOP/TWP dichotomy is a bit simplistic.

[WSB Consider TOP as the summit of a three
dimensional model of good. Top is simple, but
TWP describes the infinite variety and degrees
of evil below the summit. WSB]

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ It suggests
a dichotomy for a more complex problem.  Burt
might get more responses to his analysis if he
was not so tied to this particular jargon.
[WSB   I considered good/evil as a useful dichotomy,
but those words have been obscured.   WSB]
I would further suggest that his analysis might
go a bit deeper.  The statement above, and his
whole analysis, is embedded in the EuroAmerican
'dominator paradigm'.   It is based on the assumption
that humans are naturally tied to self-interest,
competition, and materialism.  The production
distribution systems of most other cultures are
rooted in the concept that  "it is gravely wrong
for any person to NOT distribute what they produce."
[WSB  humans are naturally tied to self-interest,
competition, and materialism only when TWP
is the governing paradigm, as it is in the USA.
Europe and other nations adopted TOP in 1946
and know the difference.  Only English speakers
obfuscate TOP and enforce TWP which is
genocide done slowly to Empires. WSB]
In many languages there are not concepts of,
or words for, " ownership," "money," "exchange"
and other words of our economic mindset.  People
worked in systems of "reciprocity" sometime called
"gifting."  The purpose of life was to improve
the well being of Gaia (the Earth and all of its
life forms).  The more Gaia improved the better
was the life of everyone.  One's well being was
dependent on the well being of all.  Producing for
the public good was just a natural function of
humans.  This view has been called the 'Gaian
paradigm.'
[WSB  I agree completely, and without TOP,
which levels the economic playing field, the
'Gaian paradigm' cannot be restored.  WSB]
Modern science is providing a more solid base
for reciprocity.  Research in many field physics,
anthropology, psychology, and others all converge
on the understanding that the cosmos is a unit
and evolves as a unit.   Chaos, complexity, and
Gaian theories suggest that the cosmos is a holon
composed of closely linked and interdependent holons.
Humans like all other holons are made up of
smaller holons and are parts of larger ones.
Each of us is interdependent with all other
humans.  Research in other fields has shown
that human nature evolved as cooperative
being highly dependent on communities.
This suggests that it is NOT "gravely wrong to
take from individuals what they can accomplish."
It is the responsibility of individuals to live by
the laws of nature.  They should be allowed
and encouraged to do so.  If they don't contribute
to the good of others, there is a case to be made
for laws to require it.
[WSB  We have the "laws to require it," our tax code.
The damage is done when the revenue is collected
and not disbursed for the proper purpose.  We
withhold the investment needed to develop our
human assets and to level the economic playing field,
and then wonder why public debt and the expense
of remedial means-tested welfare continues to
increase with no limit in sight.  WSB]
At least we should not condemn those who
have this mindset.
[WSB  Bill, your argument is with the Conference
Of Catholic Bishops, Washington, DC., the Jews,
the Muslims, and the Protestants;  not with
Wes Burt.  I firmly believe personal income taxes,
about 20%, are the corner stone of "Liberty and
Justice for all" under a 'Gaian paradigm'  WSB]
Now, back to unfinished business on TOP.  Please
print the attached revision "d" of Figure 17 so you
can see the whole cosmos at a glance, as you read
the rest of this message.
Revision "d" removed a redundant "world market"
that previously separated our capital assets from
our EARTH, and also added a reminder that the
"World Market" at the top of the model is a vital
part of Teilhard De Chardin's Noosphere.  Spinoza,
in Chapter XVI, Of The Foundations Of A State, in
his 1670 Theological-Political Treatise, provided
a reasonable explanation of how humans make
decisions and activate the Noosphere.  He was,
of course, the skunk at the Judeo-Catholic lawn
party of his time, just as I am now for trying to
make a public disclosure of TOP, the proprietary
secret of our private sector WHIPs.  A secret known
to every foreign competitor, but a secret from the
American public.
Must save a little bit for #5.
Kind regards,
Wes Burt
PS, I have again attached the chart of corporate profit
by William Hixson to suggest that the US private sector
works very well, and our reform effort is needed only
in the public sector of Figure 17a,b,c,d,etc.
               TOP and TWP are cognoscible on
