Dear All,
I am connected with Fennerfest in Slough. It is named after Fenner Brockway who was a noted local politician.

Anyway, I saw the film The Inconvenient Truth hosted by Al Gore sometime ago which was part of the Fennerfest. It was very interesting, and well-presented. It was screened at the Quaker centre in Slough, and I was suprised to be informed that what I, and the audience saw was actually a pirate copy!!! Apparently, it has been shown in America, but not in England as yet. I did wonder why the film seemed to be of fairly poor quality....now, I know!!
Apart from this, I met the somewhat aged Walter Wolfgang who shot to fame when he was very publicly thrown out of the Labour Conference. I met him at a Fennerfest lecture, and was interesting to talk to. I brought up the question of Social Credit which he clearly knew something about. However, he made the obvious point that it would not work. Personally, I am of the same opinion. Though a clever concept it is somehow needs to be "modernized" to be taken more seriously. TFE naturally springs to mind......................................................
