Dear friends, sisters, brothers, elders in the movement for transforming finance sector,
   
  Greetings for peace,
   
  I would like to inform to the group that Center for Alternative Dalit Media in collaboration with Labour League Foundation organised an intersting workshop has been condicted on the occasion of India Social Forum on 10 November on transforming the International Finanace instititions for ecological safety, social equity and distributive justice for renewable resource based livelihoods.
   
  I shared information about all the movements..that has been recorded in the paper circulated to the list earlier ..The paper can be seen at http://muhammad_mukhtar_alam.tigblog.org
   
  Iqbal Chand called for the liberation of farmers from usurious debts. He informed about the need to eradicate usury and called for liberation of farmers and farm worker. Iqbal Chand has been working to free the bonded labour in the state of Punjab. Mr. Sudhir Kumar Singh from Banka ,Bhagalpur and Mr.Satish from Lok Prerna Kendra called supported the call for eliminating usury . There were responses for graded reduction and elimination of usury in some selected sectors.
   
  National Meet of the bankers has been suggested for discussion the proposal. In the informal discussion calls were made for stopping interest payments at the state level in India.
