Dear Friends:
I have been reading with interest the valued comments of friends
on religion and here I thought to present my views as well on this-
with a hope that I would either stand corrected in my opinions or
may present an opportunity for you all to review the this dialogue
from an entirely different perspective that for some reasons we
have not touched.
In a day or two, I would be prepared to ride the boat.
Loveful regards
Ashok

Dear Marguerite ,
I have deep regard for the messengers of Allah/God/.../.../ for the reasons that I have listed telegraphically in my conceptual organisation posted int eh year 2001/2at http://muhammad_mukhtar_alam.tigblog.org
Your received source of wisdom and mine is just different and we may not have the same destiny..For me ,I have cognitive empathy and shared sense of understanding for lot of problems..We are just not same in diagnosis and prognosis..
I do not think, I can endevour for concincing you through e-mail as I do not have the time for that much of engagement..I simply do not consider any of the people you present to be relevant as I consider them to be part of the rejectors of the communications of the messengers.
With best wishes

Dear Dr. Allam and All,
It appears to me that the path to follow forward may be
partially encapsulated in a book written by Sankara
Saranam entitled: God Without Religion -- Questioning
Centuries of Accepted Truths. Although I am not sure
that even Saranam has the complete picture which is
unfolding more every day through the new science of
biology based in quantum physics, and is extremely
difficult to dispute.

Today, many are acknowledging the difference between
religion and spirituality. While religion seems to be
directed toward "social engineering" by a few who over
the centuries have been called prophets,.the idea cannot
be dismissed that they were merely people who saw
themselves in an exalted status and were able to persuade
others of their beingness in this state. A state which has led
more often than not to conflicts as these human entities
professed to "know the word of God" more intimately than
the rest. It is from this state of "Godliness" as seen through
the eyes of religious beliefs that have led us into endless
conflict, just as our leaders today justify war in the name of
God or in the name of Allah or some other diety. Whereas,
if the truth be known all wars are economic in nature --
generally fought over material property rights between tribes
due to ego and greed, along with false boundaries and
ideologies that exist only in the minds of some, and have
no basis in reality.
Whereas spirituality comes from one's inner being and is
accessed through intuition which appears to be reinforced
in meditation and acts as a guide to aid one in their
development through the six stages of life which it appears
all life passes through before arriving at a sense of a
universal, or mature self, which is "all-seeing" and reaching
a state of "acceptance of all that IS" thus knowing peace.
As the biology of science unfolds revealing the truth of "a
unified field" or "web of life", which connects us all to a
common source, it will also reveal more of the "Universal
Mind", which appears to act like a supercomputer to balance
the world in such a way as to progress toward growth and
healing.
And, if we seek unity, I do believe it would behoove us to stop
using the labels of "God" or "Allah" or any religious designation
that serves to divide us from one another. And to also refrain
from urging the use of religious practices related to any specific
religious belief such as "prayer 5 times a day" when involved
in a public discussion designed to bring us together in thought.
While I completely accept you where you are if you feel it
necessary to pray five times a day, I am continually annoyed
at your urging the rest of us to do so, and to go so far as to
urge us to mandate this practice, is, I feel extremely inconsiderate,.
How each of approaches our spirituality or not, is a private matter.
Thank you for your consideration.
marguerite
